Christmas Gift Idea

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.
I hope you had a good holiday and are resting for tomorrows big day. So now that Turkey Day is over its time to move onto Christmas. Actually, I think we had moved past Thanksgiving since Halloween. Lol.

Last week I created a simple but very cute :) way to gift cocoa. Today I have another simple gift idea for you. I love the look of Chinese take out boxes. I liked the idea of using them for years now. So I always like to give them out filled with cookies, brownies, make-up, all sorts of delicious goodies. Sometimes I get lucky and find plain ones for cheap so I save them and then dress them up accordingly.

I kept this simple so it can be mass producible. Of course the possibilities are endless but if you are looking for cute and quick, this can be a way to go.

Picture 1: I used DCWV paper and tag. Inked the edges a bit and ribbon to seal it up.

Companion Challenge: Gift Cocoa

This week I will be Cristina's Companion and I'm excited to be it. I really like this week's challenge because I think it can lead to fun, creative ways of giving a co-worker or friend a mini gift/stocking stuffer. I also like it because I think it is an unexpected gift. We are programmed to give cookies, candy, chocolates or even coffee and tea as holiday gifts but never really cocoa (at least for me). As you know, the challenge this week is to find a creative way to gift Cocoa. This became challenging because every time I came up with an idea, I always went for other food items. So after several rough drafts I came up with these 2 simple ways to gift cocoa. They are both mass producible and easy to put together. One, however, is a lot more expensive than the other but that one can always be for a special person.

The mug can be replaced with any mug that you like. Also, you can wrap up the whole thing with cellophane and give it like that. I didn't do that here because I didn't want to cover up the gift.

Small packet of cookies.

Small packet of marshmallows (use minis).

Bag of Cocoa (your choice of flavor, brand, etc)

This is another super simple project. You use a bag that has a shape of a carrot (can use bags that look like they are for pipping), fill it up to your pleasure. Seal it and tie a bow around it. Then add a cute tag, if you wish. Easy-Peezy

My goal for this project was to give you some simple options.
With Project 1, you can add or take away what ever you like. The cookies, marshmallows can be change - you can add chocolate chips or bits of candy cane. The options are limitless.

With Project 2, it is simple and straight forward. You can change the sentiment and add a different one or use an image. You can make it for Christmas or Thanksgiving, or really any occasion. And if you like, you can you use the paper you least like because it will be covered up with an image.

My Little Princess

Hello Everyone. I hope you enjoyed your weekend and are ready to begin the week.

First of all I'd like to thank those that have stopped by my blog to comment on my projects. I really appreciate you taking the time out. I do apologize for not going over to your blogs but I will soon.

Ok so onto the card...This card was commissioned by my brother. My niece just turned 11, which means she is now a tween and at times likes to think she is at teenage level. But he wanted a card that said that she was still his little girl, his little princess. So with that in mind and with Tiddly Inks challenge in mind I came up with this super cute card. Like I said in my previous post, I'm not one to really toot my own horn but I really love the way this card came out. And my brother and my niece loved it as well. And the best part (aside from the satisfaction of creating something that was extremely appreciated) was my pay. I got payed with a cricut cartridge (Winter Frolic)... Sweeeeet :)

"Thinking of You" Card

Good Morning Everyone.

I wanted to share this super cute-adorable card :) that was inspired by the UP. Of course I knew I needed balloons but I didn't want it to be so literal so when I saw the bear balloons and the bear, I knew instantly that this is what I wanted. It took me some time to assemble it together but Im really happy with the outcome. I also really like it because I think that this card can work on many levels. I think that it can be a card for little girls, tweens, teens, etc as well for women in their 20s, 30s and so forth. And I'm not one to really gush but I'm loving how this project came out

I hope that my card inspires you to find some inspiration.

Spinner Card

Happy Late Halloween! I hope that everyone had a good holiday and collected a lot of goodies, screams and memories.

Today's card features the cute Cheshire Cat from Tiddly Inks. When I read the challenge for Tiddly's Challenge Blog, I instantly thought of this guy. The challenge was to create a spinner card. Most spinner cards I've seen, have the object spin across the card. However Christy had her object spin in place so I wanted to do the same for my Cheshire. I thought it would be cute to have his head spin in place. Plus, he does have his head spin in the cartoon movie so you can say I was inspired by that as well. For the background paper, I used a digi paper from Tiddly Inks. I added the typing myself. I feel as thou something is missing from this card. Something needs to be changed, deleted or added. Does it look drab? I just don't know what yet.

I'm also submitting this card to another favorite blog of mine Oh! Alice. They have a Halloween in Wonderland theme going on. Their DT has beautiful and inspiring work. If you are an Alice lover like I am then go by and check it out, you won't be dissapointed.
